For our Independent Social Work assessments for children and families a court, legal team or local authority will need to make a referral to us in order for us to begin any work.
If you are looking for information in relation to other services please use our contact us page.
Once we receive a referral we will provide a cost estimate and discuss any timescales for completion of the assessment.
Once agreed and the letter of instruction is received by us, we will then if appropriate, ask for a copy of any important documentation so that we are fully informed on the issues impacting on the family.
After this, we will then identify the social worker who will be working with the family. We will ensure that the social worker is an appropriate match to the family in order to ensure that the family are well supported and that we produce the most comprehensive assessment possible.
We will then ensure that the Independent Social Worker makes timely contact with the family.
An assessment plan will be drawn up between us and the family that is suited to the individual needs and the availability of the family.
Within this, we will also agree with the family regular intervals in which we will provide them feedback as to how the assessment is going.
Once the assessment is completed, it is quality assured and the assessment will then be forwarded onto the instructing party.
All of our Independent Social Workers are experienced in giving evidence in court and will be available for any court appearances if requested.
