Who are we?
We offer a wide range of expert assessments and support for local authorities, courts, and families across the South East of England.
Nucleus is a network of highly skilled, qualified and experienced professionals that are able to deliver high quality and unbiased assessments in a timely and supportive manner, as we understand the emotional impact that undergoing an assessment can have on individuals.
Our team of professionals are fully supported by being able to access reflective supervision, in order to, ensure that they fully consider all outcomes and make the right decisions when it matters.
We also support our professionals to stay up to date with training and research in order to enhance their practice and therefore, their assessments, support and interactions with you.
As we cover both adults and children's services, our independent social work agency have a focus on ensuring children are safe and that they are able to stay at home where possible and that families are supported to make this happen. In relation to adult services we focus on dignity and the voice of the individual being heard.
In addition to providing high quality and timely assessments, we also offer a range of support services including but not limited to: advice, signposting, intermediary services and practice education.

A Word From Our Founder
Welcome to Nucleus Independent Social Work Services. Me and my handpicked team of professionals look forward to working with you.
I founded Nucleus after twenty years of frontline experience in a variety of health, social care and social work settings. From these experiences, I gained an in-depth understanding of the core issues impacting children and families which is something that is shared by my team as they are specialists in their area of expertise.
My experience has not only allowed me to gain skills such as in management, court work and practice educating but has also supported me to understand the importance of positive social work practice and the difference this has on individuals lives. I have seen that this is fundamental in bringing about long term lasting positive change and in making the right decisions for children and families.
Positive social work practice is what myself and my team strive for as it is at the core of everything we do. This is shown by our comprehensive assessments and meaningful and tailored support.
